I Won a G!?!....What's a G??

Last week my department had our work offsite in sunny LA! Even though it was a "work" function, we had alot of fun. We stayed at the Sofitel Hotel and the rooms were pretty nice. The food was fantastic and I have to admit, the staff were all very friendly! Not your usual snooty LA crowd.

On the second day of our offsite we had a scavenger hunt and one of the places on our list of "hot spots" was The Beverly Hills Hotel. My group had already had lunch before we went to the hotel so we sat by the pool and ordered drinks and snacks. I had the most amazing dessert...the smores! They were sooo good! They were built like your normal smore, but instead it was covered with whip cream and drizzeled with vanilla bean and chocolate sauce....so yummy! Their mojito was yummy as well. The only thing I didn't like about that was the huge pieces of mint floating around. Having a huge piece of mint stuck between your teeth at The Beverly Hills Hotel aint a sexy thang!..Okkkkaaaayyy!

Another group from my team actually had lunch at The Polo Lounge in the hotel and got to see a parade of stars - Warren Beatty, Danny Glover, Heidi Klum. Chris Rock and Won G....wait...Won who? That's what I'm sayin"...is it Juan or Won?? Apperently Won G is a west coast rapper from Haiti. He had the like of Paris Hilton appear in one of his music videos....and I think that was the only major person he has had in his videos. Regardless of his low rating on the celebrity list, the guys was actually real cool. He was real down to earth and got 10 people from my group into AREA Nightclub. When we got in the club, you automatically realized he was the real deal celebrity. He got the usual flock of scantily dressed women coming up to him, alot of high fives from his homies, and alot of "Hey Won G!"... so he actually was a "real" rapper and well known amongst his peeps. It was a fun night, we had bottle service at our table and danced and danced the night away. Props go out to Won G!!
